Our focus is Human Language Technology, with members at different institutes of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. We deal both with foundational issues of linguistics and with several areas of language technology including

• automatic dictionary building from parallel corpora (tool), from Wiktionary (online app, tool, paper), or from monolingual corpora (page)
• establishing objective digital vitality criteria (database, paper)
• learning weighted finite state automata (paper)

• statistical language modeling
